This Catalyst demonstrates how telecommunications providers can transform operations and service delivery through the combined power of ontology, digital twins and Agentic AI. The project creates a real-time digital twin of the cloud-network environment by integrating resource, performance, alarm and traffic data into a single operational view. By unifying business semantics through an ontology-driven framework and enabling AI-powered closed-loop execution, the solution provides a common intelligence layer that allows operations, change management and service delivery teams to work from a consistent and trusted source of truth.
The innovation lies in its “3+4+N” semantic intelligence framework. Three foundational capabilities, real-time digital twin mirroring, ontology-based semantic unification and Agentic AI closed-loop automation, support four core business applications: intelligent auditing and remediation, cross-domain root cause analysis, change simulation and compliance validation, and intelligent resource matching with cost estimation. Together, these capabilities move network operations beyond reactive monitoring towards predictive, autonomous and data-driven decision-making, while creating a scalable foundation for future intelligent operations use cases.
The solution addresses critical challenges faced by service providers today. Operational teams often struggle with fragmented data sources, inconsistent business semantics and troubleshooting processes that depend heavily on specialist expertise. Change and delivery teams face difficulties predicting the impact of network changes, verifying resource availability and coordinating service provisioning activities across multiple domains. By combining ontology-based reasoning with a live digital twin environment, the Catalyst enables deeper automation, more accurate decision-making and greater reusability of operational knowledge, reducing risk while improving service quality and operational efficiency.
Success will be measured through significant improvements in data quality, operational accuracy and delivery performance. The project targets resource accuracy rates of 98%, monitoring completeness of 99%, and cross-domain root cause localisation accuracy exceeding 95%. Change operation accuracy is expected to surpass 98%, while service provisioning, resource configuration and delivery processes are projected to improve by more than 80% across efficiency, accuracy, labour effort and cost metrics. By delivering measurable operational benefits while establishing a foundation for autonomous network operations, this Catalyst showcases a practical pathway towards intelligent, self-optimising telecom networks.
