New CSP revenues via standardized Spatial Web interoperability through Open Gateway and TMF APIs for next generation of digital services
Project companies
The Project Summary
The Spatial Web is the next version of the internet that connects the digital and physical worlds seamlessly. It uses technologies like IoT, 5G/6G networks, Spatial Computing, and built-in security to create personalized experiences.
The Spatial Web links not just information, but also physical spaces, devices, people, and AI agents through a common standard. Any device, whether it's a phone, sensors, headsets, or autonomous vehicle, can instantly share data, knowledge, and skills.
This project uses Open Gateway APIs (via Camara) and TMF APIs to develop a new open communication protocol for the Spatial Web, supporting various spatial experiences. With this protocol, Communication Service Providers (CSPs) can manage Spatial Web Nodes, which are crucial for Spatial Computing and Positioning Based experiences, offering them as a service.
This new service model opens up revenue opportunities for CSPs while aligning with Application Service Providers (ASPs) and Digital Service Providers (DSPs). The combination of 5G, IoT, blockchain, and AI is shaping the Spatial Web, providing telcos with new ways to improve customer experiences and generate revenue.
Development and use of TMF and Camara APIs
The development of TMF APIs for this project involves several key steps and considerations to ensure seamless integration and functionality. The primary focus is on preparing the Open Gateway environment, synchronizing the catalog (TMF 936) and creating resources and functionalities to the application that will be used throughout the journey.
Spatial Web Demo
The demo will show how operators can use the Spatial Web and Open APIs to create new business opportunities. The demo will highlight the use of various APIs, including population density data, location retrieval, device location, geofencing, carrier billing and SIM swap. These APIs enable operators to create targeted and efficient marketing strategies, improve customer engagement, and optimize operations.
The demo will guide visitors trough the storytelling of use Open Gateway and TMF APIs in the development of Spatial Web.
