Chris Silberberg leads IDC's global Telecom Operations and Monetization research. Chris' core research coverage includes the evolution of telco monetization, customer experience, orchestration, and assurance capabilities. Telcos are at a crossroads, double down as utility providers or become digital service power houses. Both strategies demand telcos fundamentally transform their IT capabilities to enable customer first experiences, autonomous operations, and the capacity to innovate monetization models at scale.
Chris joined IDC in 2022 focused on EMEA Telco OSS, BSS and long-term transformation trends in AI, Cloud, CX and business structure. Previously Chris was the lead Telco BSS analyst at Omdia after 4 years researching telecom networks from Broadband and NFV, to Network Slicing, Cloud Core, AI, and Blockchain.
