Andrey Silva received his B.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering, as well as his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering, from the Federal University of Pará, Brazil. His doctoral research focused on 5G RAN optimization in autonomous networks using intent-based approaches and network digital twins.
He is currently a Senior Researcher at Ericsson Research, Brazil, where he contributes to standardization efforts across multiple standards development organizations (SDOs), including ETSI ZSM, 3GPP SA5, O-RAN WG1, and TM Forum. His work spans both front-office and back-office roles, with a focus on network digital twins, intent-driven networking, and closed-loop automation.
His research interests include mobile network automation, intent-based networking, network digital twins, and the application of machine learning in telecommunications.
