Day 2 Opening keynotes: The Future, faster
Scott Petty is the Chief Technology Officer and a member of the Vodafone Executive Committee. He is responsible for shaping and executing Vodafone's Technology strategy, underpinning the company's focus on improving the customer experience, its digital transformation and future success. This involves driving innovation, simplifying processes, enhancing productivity, and accelerating growth through the adoption of new digital tools, AI technologies, and practices throughout the company in Europe and Africa, and globally.
In 2021, Scott became the Chief Digital & IT Officer for Vodafone Technology, leading the integrated European Network and Digital & IT team. Previously, Scott was the CTO for Vodafone UK, where he focused on operational excellence, business growth, and strategic initiatives like the launch of 5G and the Shared Rural Network scheme.
Scott joined Vodafone in 2009 as Business Products and Services Director. In 2012, he became Group Technology Enterprise Products and Services Director, leading product development in connectivity, IoT, and converged communications. In 2015, he was appointed Enterprise Technology Director, managing product development and Enterprise Customer solutions.
In 2017 Scott became the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Vodafone UK, where he was responsible for operational excellence, delivering enhanced business capability and driving innovation to support business growth. He led key strategic initiatives such as the launch of 5G and the Shared Rural Network scheme.
Scott joined Vodafone in 2009 as Business Products and Services Director and was appointed Group Technology Enterprise Products and Services Director in 2012. Here he led product development across connectivity, IoT and converged communications. During this time, Vodafone established itself as a leader in hosted converged communications and IoT.
