Gabriela is a global executive with extensive international business experience in the Telecom & IT industry. She has lived and worked in 12 countries across three continents and held executive positions in numerous multinational organisations accross Strategy, Technology, and Sales.
Gabriela is the Managing Director, Research and Technology Commercialisation at BT Group, overseeing the functions of Technology Research, Industry Standards, and Technology Innovation Commercialisation. In addition, she is Chair of the Confideration of British Industry (CBI) Technology and Innovation committee, Board Member of TDC Net, the leading Danish Network Service Provider, and Lyntia Networks, a leading Iberian InfraCo. Gabriela is also Senior Advisor for Serendipity Capital, a Venture Capital focused in disruptive thematics, including Quantium, AI, and Cybersecurity.
Prior to joining BT Group Gabriela held various executive positions such as Chief Strategy Officer at Nokia, Deputy Chief Operating Officer and VP Head of Network Services at Telia Company, VP Head of Networks and TI Labs at Telecom Italia, and numerous positions at Ericsson spanning across Technology and Business.
She holds a dipl. in Power Engineering from Sweden, a Master in Business Administration from University of Durham, UK, and a Master in International Affairs with specialism in Cybersecurity from King’s College London, UK.
