His work spans conversational intelligence for Alexa, sensing and AI on Samsung Galaxy smartphones and smartwatches, and specialized AI chips at Intel. He received Samsung’s company-wide Gold Medal for innovation and has led global teams and research partnerships with MIT, Stanford, UC Berkeley, Cornell, Cambridge, and EPFL.

A pioneer in ubiquitous and wearable computing, he is a two-time recipient of 10-year impact awards from UbiComp and ISWC, holds 44 patents, and has authored 38 publications. He earned his PhD and MS at MIT and completed Berkeley’s Engineering Leadership program.
