Gustavo Marsico

VP Technology Strategy & Architecture
Optimum

Gustavo leads Optimum’s end-to-end architecture across the U.S., driving modernization of OSS/BSS, data platforms, and AI-enabled operations. His work advances catalog-driven design, adoption of TM Forum Open APIs, Kafka-based real-time observability, and self-healing service assurance—linking technical choices directly to customer experience and operational efficiency.

His organization owns the enterprise target architecture, including OneOSS, a multi-year consolidation of legacy stacks, and the Network Intelligence Hub, a real-time data and insights fabric that powers “data democratization” across network, operations, and customer domains. These programs, aligned to ODA and anchored in closed-loop automation, are engineered to accelerate revenue, reduce cost-to-serve, and raise experience KPIs at scale.
With 30+ years in telecommunications and digital platforms, Gustavo has delivered production-grade, privacy-respectful solutions spanning large-scale inventory, order management, provisioning, voice, and assurance; built high-throughput streaming and analytics platforms; and established KPI frameworks that connect a “North-Star” strategy to day-to-day delivery. He is Optimum’s nominated AI lead & AI Guru, coordinating enterprise adoption and briefing the CTO and ELT on progress.

Previously, he held leadership roles at Liberty Latin America and Cable & Wireless, building high-performing architecture and engineering teams for both B2C and B2B. A champion of clean, interoperable TM Forum implementations, he promotes practical reference patterns and has led initiatives in data lifecycle and network core, transport and datacenter architecture, quality tooling and analytics, AI/ML for assurance, and core applications architecture.
