As organizations adopt AI-native architectures and autonomous agents across customer, network, IT, and business operations, they face a growing challenge - trust.

Trustworthy AI means more than intelligent decisions. It requires the ability to explain what happened, why it happened, what evidence informed the decision, and whether the outcome aligned with policy, governance, and business intent.

In this unique hackathon challenge, developers become proof seekers, entering a simulated autonomous enterprise spanning customer, IT, network, and data environments. Working within an AI-native ecosystem, teams must track the movements, decisions, and interactions of autonomous agents as they navigate the digital landscape.

Success won't be measured by the sophistication of the AI, but by the strength of the evidence that surrounds it.

Most Hackathons ask what AI can do. This one proves it.

TM Forum's The Trustworthy AI & Data Hackathons leverage our AI-Native ODA principles and standards using the “Breaking barriers” framework. Participants will focus on delivering tangible, production-relevant outcomes that demonstrate how trustworthy AI systems can be built, governed, and scaled for telecoms.

Hackathon dates

The Hackathon kicks off on Sunday, October 4, at AT&T Corporate Headquarters in Dallas.

Teams will move to the Marriott Dallas Allen when Innovate Americas 2026 opens on Tuesday, October 6.

Hackathon Awards will be announced during the keynote on Wednesday, October 7, in front of the full event audience.

This is a team-based challenge with a minimum of three and a maximum of seven Hackers per team. Companies may enter multiple teams. Please note there is limited capacity for both in-person and virtual participation. Submitting interst does not guarantee placement. TM Forum reviews all submissions and will contact successful applicants. Participation is secured only upon direct confirmation from TM Forum.
