Accenture responsible AI chief joins TM Forum AI and Data Mission Board

TM Forum, the leading global alliance of telco and tech companies, today welcomes Arnab Chakraborty, Chief Responsible AI Officer at Accenture, to its AI and Data Mission Board, as it defines the industry’s operating model for trustworthy AI at scale.

In his role at Accenture, Chakraborty oversees the company’s responsible AI strategy, C‑suite client engagements, technology ecosystem partnerships and research initiatives. He also co-leads the Telstra Accenture Data and AI joint venture as co-Chief Executive Officer, where he works closely with Telstra’s C-Suite and enterprise leaders to rapidly accelerate Telstra’s data and AI roadmap to further extend its network leadership, improve customer experience, reinvent business processes and help its teams operate more efficiently and effectively.

At TM Forum, Chakraborty will support the AI and Data Mission Board’s work to help communications service providers (CSPs) move from pilots to trusted, production‑scale AI, applying the same operational rigor required of any critical network or IT service. The Board is advancing standards‑based approaches through its AI-Native Blueprint, embedding governance, security and lifecycle management by design across networks, platforms and data environments.

“AI will only deliver real business value when it is trusted to operate at scale. That focus is central to AI-powered industry reinvention at Accenture and closely aligned with the work of TM Forum’s AI‑Native Blueprint in providing a practical, industry‑backed path from pilots to production. I’m looking forward to contributing to this work alongside leaders from across the ecosystem,” said Chakraborty.

“AI innovation across CSPs is accelerating rapidly, but trust is now the limiting factor for adoption at scale. Without it, we remain in the lab. The AI and Data Mission is focused on operationalizing AI governance, and risk and compliance assurance. Arnab brings deep leadership and real-world experience in trustworthy AI at scale to the Mission to help power the industry forward,” added Guy Lupo, EVP, AI and Data Mission at TM Forum.
